Mrs. Palmer's Classroom Room 108

Welcome to Technology

I have been a teacher at Curtis Strange for the past nineteen years, as a classroom teacher in grades four, five, and six, for the first fourteen years, and as a technology resource teacher for the last five years.  Prior to teaching at Curtis Strange I taught third grade at St. Mary’s School for two years.

Five years ago we started a new program for grades K-5 at Curtis Strange in order to integrate technology more effectively into the curriculum.  I was very excited to have an opportunity to work with the entire school and develop lessons to help meet the technology benchmarks in our district. Students embrace technology, and it is amazing to see their growth from year to year.  Curtis Strange was the first elementary school to have this type of program.

My education includes a B.S. in psychology from UW-Parkside (1988), and a Master’s Degree in Computers in Education from Lesley College (1993).

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.   I have a great appreciation for the outdoors and like to walk, hike, play sports, and work in my garden when the weather is permitting.  I also enjoy drawing, listening to music, playing the piano, playing games, and working puzzles in my free time.
