Strange Eagles
Hello Curtis Strange Families,
My name is Renato Ruffolo. I have been with the Curtis Strange Family for 18 years. I taught 4th grade for 10 years, 3rd grade for 1 year, and 5th grade for the past 7 years. Previous to my 18 years at Curtis Strange, I taught 6th grade for 4 years at Holy Rosary and was a sub for 5 years with Kenosha Unified School District. I have also been teaching a class at Gateway Technical College for over 16 years.
I received my BA in Sociology and Education in 1981 from University of Wisconsin Parkside and Carthage College. In 1992 I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum Education from National Louis University.
I am Italian; I came to America at age 14 years old. I went to school here in Kenosha and graduated from Bradford High School.
I am married and have 2 children. My son attends Tremper, and my daughter attends Jeffery Elementary. She likes school and playing the piano. Some day she wishes to become a teacher like her dad.
All my life I wanted to become a teacher even though I thought my dreams would never come true because of the language background. Thank God I managed to learn the language and fulfill my dreams. I love teaching and I know that through my own experience I have and will touch many lives. I love the Curtis Strange family. This family (school) has taught me many wonderful things. Thank you for allowing me to teach here. I hope to continue and retire from this wonderful family.
I like to travel and sing and dance. I love to cook and eat. I like to read and write. Reading helps me to comprehend my daily schedule. As a parent I know the expectations, hopes and dreams I have for my children, and I wish the same for the children that I teach. I try to be a teacher that makes learning fun, a teacher who in the long run makes a difference in a child’s life. Any concerns about your child please feel free to call the school or stop by and have a cup of coffee with me. Thank you for allowing me to teach your child.
Mr. Ruffolo's fifth grade class is working hard at assembling rockets. This is always a learning experience for everyone!
