Welcome to my classroom.
Lets Meet Mrs. Salituro

I love teaching at Curtis Strange Elementary. Teaching first graders to read is the best job in the world. I get to take kids from reading a few words to reading chapter books in one year! Teaching Reading Recovery is rewarding too.
This program helps struggling readers read at grade level. Once kids can read well they can do anything. It is so fun to help children get excited about reading.

I have been teaching first grade at Curtis Strange since 1994. Before that I taught at Saint Mary and Saint Thomas school. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Parkside and my Masters degree from National Lewis. I have also completed Reading Recovery Training. I have lived in Kenosha all my life.

When I'm not in school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Steve, my son, Mike and daughter, Stephanie. I also love reading, bicycling and gardening.

In technology class each student created a book called I Can See using Photo Kit Junior.
